Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV)

A vehicle that has an electric drive, which is operated in combination with a battery and an internal combustion engine. The vehicle can be operated either with the combustion engine or electric drive (battery) or with both at the same time. The operating mode used depends on the instantaneous power demand.
