Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC or PEFC)

Is a type of fuel cell based on acid. In this type of fuel cell, protons (H+) are transported from the anode to the cathode through a solid aqueous membrane impregnated with acid. A polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) is used as the electrolyte. As a general standard, this is done at a temperature below 100°C.
