Dough Moulding Compound (DMC) is a composite material semi-finished product in the form of a fibre-resin compound. What distinguishes it from other composites is its shapeless, kneadable or puffy condition in the raw state. Processing takes place in heated moulds under pressure. With appropriately short fibre lengths, DMC can also be processed in the injection moulding method. An alternative name for DMC is BMC (Bulk Moulding Compound).
