BMC

Bulk Moulding Compound (BMC) is a composite material semi-finished product in the form of a fibre-resin compound. What distinguishes it from other composites is its shapeless, kneadable or puffy condition in the raw state. The shape-giving process takes place in heated moulds under pressure. With appropriately short fibre lengths, BMC can also be processed using the injection moulding method. An alternative name for BMC is DMC (Dough Moulding Compound).
