Success story of PORSCHE and IAG

IAG special-purpose machinery on the fast track

Porsche relies on engineering skill from Lower Austria

Racing drivers say that when a Porsche 911 with ceramic brakes pulls off a full stop from 300 km/h, it feels like you’ve thrown an anchor overboard. As the global market leader in the construction of special-purpose machinery designed for brake linings and clutches in particular, we can assume responsibility for this performance. Thanks to our high-quality work, we have made a name for ourselves in the industry, a name on which all the renowned manufacturers now rely. Be it Ferrari, Porsche, BMW or Volkswagen – by now, all the manufacturers rely on our know-how in the field of special-purpose machinery from Weikersdorf.

It all began in the year 1986, when engineers Olaf Pokorny and Ernst Brunner founded the company IAG – Industrie Automatisierungsgesellschaft m.b.H. Relatively quickly, an order for industrial friction lining presses to produce high-quality brake linings was produced. “The specific friction mix is the trade secret of the brake lining manufacturers; we provide the machines for pressing the linings”, explains sales manager Stefan Gruber.

Thanks to high-quality work, IAG has made a name for itself in the industry, a name on which all the renowned manufacturers now rely. A particular point of pride at IAG is the special solutions in the automotive sector.

“A great number of projects started with a customer issue that had not yet been solved. We love a challenge, and feel motivated when confronted with such problems.” And this characteristic is definitely valued beyond the automotive sector too.
