Clutches can also be manufactured using so-called windings / clutch winding.

This blank for the production of a clutch lining is also referred to as a winding. This winding consists of a cord that is pulled through a bath of friction lining. This cord is then formed into loops over several layers to form this winding on a so-called winding machine. The winding is then hot-pressed and grinded.
